Raheela Gill Anwar is Chief Sales, Client Service and Market Strategy Leader for BPI group. She brings more than 25 years of experience in executive outplacement and financial services to BPI group, with expertise in M&A, executive compensation, corporate delayering, and building and leading diverse teams. In her current role, Raheela develops global market strategy and leads the client solutions team for BPI group and is a member of the executive leadership team. She and her teams partner with clients to understand their business and talent challenges and connect them with BPI group resources. She also works with executives in career transition, networking to help connect them with their next opportunity.
Prior to BPI group, Raheela served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for a national boutique executive outplacement firm, where she led client relationship management and played a key role in executive career transition services. In that role, she significantly expanded the firm’s client relationships and was a key contributor to developing growth strategies. She partnered with clients to implement career transition best practices, including structuring voluntary and involuntary career transition programs; reducing costs; and enhancing the individual career transition experience. She also advised clients on opportunities to implement leadership coaching, talent development, and succession planning, as well as to broaden diverse representation.
Earlier in her career, Raheela held several executive roles in the financial services industry at The Northern Trust Corporation. As a broad-based executive, she led global corporate development, including M&A, strategic alliances, and divestitures. She also led institutional investment and various banking divisions’ sales and client service. After that, she served as a Managing Director at The Ziegler Companies, leading global sales and client service function. As an independent consultant, she worked with asset management firms on direct investment and mutual funds vehicles, bringing industry expertise on financial intermediary investment sales and client service.
Raheela holds a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in molecular biology and French literature from Northwestern University. She also holds an investment certificate from The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Raheela is active in various philanthropic and community endeavors. She is Board Chair of The Winnetka Community House Board of Governors, serves as an elected Trustee of the Winnetka-Northfield Library District, is a Board member of the Cristo Rey St. Martin Preparatory School and a member of The Northwestern University Women’s Board and The Garden Guild of Winnetka. She is also an active member of The Executives Club of Chicago, co-chairing a mentoring group. Raheela also served as co-chair of her 25th and 30th Northwestern Reunions, is a former Board Chair of Counseling Center of the North Shore, President of The Winnetka Community House Woman’s Board, and President of the North Shore Alumnae of Chi Omega Fraternity. She is also a past member of the Joffrey Ballet and Chicago Symphony Orchestra Women’s Boards. Raheela is married and has three children.
